The winter has arrived. Yesterday we had a snowstorm and it is still coming down. It took me 30 minutes to dig our car out of the snowdynes. It's going sideways around the corners.

Oil pickup tube
Went by the garage this evening.
Gave my rods 25 lbs ft. and now I just need the cam bearings, but no!
Apparently my pickup tube is 1-2 cm. too short, so I cant put my shortblok together before I have the proper tube.
Apparently John Elnef has the tube that fits my block. My friend Niklas went by Bugservice and picked up some double thrust cambearings for me. Thanks!
So in the following weekend I will close my shortblock!
Next step is to mount my pistionrings and modify my T1 oilpump.
Morten's Buggy engine
We stripped the engine a while ago.
Now I picked up the engine and started stripping the crank together with Morten.
The crank got new bearings and gaskets and now we're waiting on his lifters to arrive.
The engine has a 276 degree camshaft, ballanced rods and will be a std. 69 x 85.5 with ported heads and a set of Kads.

Engine weekend
This weekend i have been working on serveral Volkswagen engines.
On Friday, Morten and I started to assemble his T1 engine for his buggy.
On Saturday I picked up some parts that my brothers girlfriend brought from Serranos VW Speedshop in Torrance, CA. Thanks Kris and Louise!
I started to assemble my 71 mm x 94 mm type 4 engine. Ingana in Valby ballanced and gave my rods new bushings. I stripped the crank and cleaned it up and gave it new bearings. Then I mounted the new bearings in the rods and got them installed. The case got new dowelpins and mainbearings, but when I had to put in the cam bearings I figured out that I had to pairs of rodbearings and no cambearings.
I hope that I will have enough time to close the shortblok this week.
Late Saturday evening I went by Niklas. Niklas has a 61 ragtop and we are going to build a 68 mm x 94 mm type 1 engine. Again we disassemblied his crank and we are now waiting for parts and crankcase.
